Then midway through the year Facebook launched FB Newswire, to increase the visibility of news. Suddenly it was clear. Facebook and Google were directly competing to see which service was more effective at surfacing a story and driving action because of it.
SEO has been around for almost as long as search engines, but attitudes toward the industry and the specific tactics used by SEOs have remained in constant flux since the beginning.
Nevertheless, most of the fundamentals of SEOhave remained consistent. Despite this consistency and the relatively predictable nature of gradual, iterative Google algorithm releases, misconceptions about the strategy still persist.
